Often times the most difficult part is starting. What holds us back? Is it comfort? Are we scared? Neophobic (fear of new things)?
Whatever it is it defines the haves from the have-nots.
Get going.

This is a poor practice. When we are devoted to keeping up, we are no longer inventing the future.
Let’s face it, we only see time in retrospect. Keeping up with it is an outdated practice. We need to reinvent it.

Telling stories is underrated.
What makes a good story teller? I attempt to shed some light on the answer:
Learning seems to get harder with age. It is not that I do not want to learn, rather, it is that I have to make a much more conscious effort in doing so. I have been thinking a lot lately about what my passions are and what I really want to become good at.
Working in retail gets me wondering about what drives people to buy. I am often confronted by people who are looking to purchase on a whim. They come in, see something that is cool, pick it up and hand me a plastic card. Its amazing how much I feel contempt for people like that. They may have the money or means to make the purchase, but not the meaning. I have no desire or right to actually know if they can afford what they are buying, but it gets me questioning whether collectively we have lost our ability to see the real value in products.
I’ve been thinking a lot about intellegent people. What perplexes me is the lack of measurement for intellegence. The quantifiable measures found in IQ Tests miss a large part of what I believe defines an intelligent person: the ability to communicate and share your knowledge. It is one thing to posess vast collections of knowledge, but it’s another to be able to impress your knowledge on the world.
“Welcome.” In the English language this is probably the most common way to set a verbal first impression. The importance of first impressions is often over looked. We often lose touch with how we come across. Always remember: a first impression sets the tone of an interaction or establishes feelings about a particular person, object or brand. Further, a positive first impression sets the stage for a positive experience.
